US epidemic killed 700,000 Biden: painful milestone

The cumulative number of deaths from new coronary pneumonia in the United States has exceeded 700,000, accounting for 14% of global deaths. President Biden issued a statement last Saturday, describing it as a painful milestone, stressing that we should not be numb to grief and calling on the public to be vaccinated.

Call on people to get an injection

Biden said that the alarming number of deaths once again reminded the public of the importance of vaccination. He emphasized that vaccines are safe. The United States has also made extraordinary progress in the fight against the new coronavirus in the past eight months due to vaccines. At present, more than three-quarters of people aged 12 and over in the country have received at least one dose of the vaccine, including nearly 94% of the elderly.

Biden's statement mentioned that during this pandemic, too many Americans have suffered unbearable losses, and hundreds of thousands of families have survived. But in order to heal, we must remember this painful milestone, remember all those lost in the epidemic on this day and every day, pray for their loved ones, and call on the people to unite in the fight against the epidemic.
