1, charging current

2, the charging voltage

3, the depth of discharge

The percentage of capacity discharged by the battery during its use of the battery is called the depth of discharge (DOD). The depth of the discharge and the battery life has a deep relationship, the deeper the depth of discharge, the shorter its charging life, so in use should try to avoid the depth of discharge.

Battery discharge depth of 10% ~ 30% up and down for the shallow cycle discharge;

Discharge depth of 40% to 70% up and down for the middle cycle discharge;

Discharge depth of 80% to 90% up and down for the deep cycle discharge.

In general, the battery running the long-term daily deep discharge depth, the shorter the battery life, the deeper the depth of discharge, the longer the battery life. Shallow cycle discharge is conducive to extend the battery life. Battery shallow cycle operation, there are two obvious advantages: first, the battery generally have a longer cycle life; second, the battery often retain more spare capacity, so that the photovoltaic system to ensure a higher power supply. According to the actual operating experience, the more moderate discharge depth is 60% to 70%.

4, the battery check

Batteries have self-discharge phenomenon, if you do not have long-term use, will make the energy loss, so the need for regular charge and discharge. Engineering and technical personnel can measure the battery open circuit voltage to determine the battery is good or bad, 12V battery, for example, if the open circuit voltage is higher than 12.5V, then the battery energy storage and more than 80%. If the open circuit voltage is lower than 12V, then the battery energy storage less than 30%, the battery has been in the "exhaustion" point. Maintenance-free battery due to the use of absorption of electrolyte system, in normal use will not produce any gas, then the battery will increase the pressure will put the top of the battery pressure valve top open, the battery will bulge, Leaky night or even rupture, these phenomena can be judged from the appearance, if found in the above situation should immediately replace the battery.

5, the battery installation

The battery should be installed in a clean, cool, ventilated, dry place and should be protected from sunlight, heaters or other radiant heat sources. The battery should be placed immediately, not tilt angle. The connection between the terminals of each battery is firm.

6, ambient temperature

Ambient temperature has a greater impact on the battery. Ambient temperature is too high, will make the battery overcharge gas; ambient temperature is too low, it will make the battery charge will affect the battery life. So the ambient temperature is best at about 25 ℃.

7, regular maintenance

After a certain period of time, the battery should be checked regularly. For example, observe whether the appearance of the battery is abnormal or not. If the power is not in the long term, the battery will always be in the state of charge, which will make the battery activity worse, so even if the power failure, but also need to conduct a regular discharge test to ensure that the battery remains active. Discharge test can be carried out once in three months, the practice is the inverter with the load, preferably more than 50%, the discharge duration depending on the battery capacity, usually for a few minutes to tens of minutes.
